Snow? What’s snow? They haven’t had snow here in Acapulco since the end of the last Ice Age (about 20,000 years ago). My son, however, studying in Rochester, NY, one winter lost his car from November until the spring thaw in March, in a university parking lot under 6 feet of snow. His and another hundred vehicles were just tiny, unidentifiable mounds in a vast field of endless white, which couldn’t be dug out or rescued, victims of the region’s famous “lake effect”.
