Everyone seems to be running an 8.5 in front with about et43
I was wondering if I could run a 9 in front at et50. It is the same poke. I am more concerned about inner clearance.

hey guys, I'm looking at getting these, preferably in 19's and was wondering what offset ect I'm going to need to run. They come in ET35, ET42, and ET40.
I'm wanting to be flush with the fender (stock suspension for now but looking at bags or coils down the road), and I want to run a bit of a stretched tire to expose the lip. what size of tire and wheel offset should I be looking at?, I have a 4matic so do I have to run staggered sizes?
thanks for the help

2013 C300 4matic
I have a quick question for my 2013 C300 4matic.
I read a lot of posts in this thread and seems like most people would recommend running 255/30/19 in the rear but given there are only a handful of tires to choose from, I might have to run 265/30/19 instead.
I am just wondering if this setup below will have any rubbing issues on stock suspension or any problem with the 4matic:
Front: 19x8.5 +42 235/35/19
Rear: 19x9.5 +42 265/30/19
If this will give me issues, I might just run 19x8.5 all around with 235s

Okay, I threw them on and I don't have any issues with rubbing at full turn or anything. Though I'm looking at a set of H&R Super Sports, and not sure if they will rub like crazy due to the poke.
Anyone with experience of running front 18x8 ET30 (235/40) & rear 18x9 ET39 (245/40) on Super sports?

Super sports is a mild drop IMO. 225/40 front is more ideal

Yeah took it by my mechanic the other day, it'll be tight, but worst case I'll get a set of 225 for the front. I ordered the H&R SS + 5mm Spring pads, so now it's just the waiting game for Wednesday to see if the front is gonna rub or not.

Stepping up my stance game a bit. About to be running a +30 19x8.5 front on a 225/35/19. Currently I'm at +35 on h&r ss with no rub. Something tells me I may need to roll the fenders this go round. Anyone running this aggressive of a setup? Also my rears are going to +35 which I've seen done on a 255/30/19.

Not mines but figured I'd add this here. Original thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...cs-stance.html
Front: 19x8.5 ET32 215/35/19
Rear: 19x9.5 ET35 235/35/19
Front: 19x8.5 ET32 215/35/19
Rear: 19x9.5 ET35 235/35/19
Front: 19x8.5" +30 (225/35/19)
Rear: 19x9.5" +33 (255/30/19)
Pretty similar setup, pretty risky, but with the right tweaks it should be perfect. Going for a completely flush look with some SLIGHT stance. I'll post pics when done.

Great Thread!
First off, this is the most helpful thread so far! I am looking to replace my OEM 17" wheels with C63 reps. I almost ordered a set (18x8.5 and 18x9.5 ET35) that my "wheel guy" said would fit no problem.
After doing research (thanks to this thread) I am looking at the following setup:
18x8.0 ET45 tire size 225/40/18
18x9.0 ET45 tire size 255/35/18
CAR: 2012 C250 Sport (factory ride height)
Now, is this too conservative? It seems to be more aggressive than the stockers, but am I now being too cautious?
My goal is to have trouble free fitment. I used to have more aggressive fitments on my previous cars and the rubbing/scrapping was something I could not get used to.
BTW, kudos to all on this site who've done some awesome work on their 204's.
Thanks!

I'm lowered on H&R SS and this setup does not rub and is extremely flush. You're good from there at least.

I can confirm that Michelin Pilot Super sports size...
265/35/18 on 18x9.5et45 rubs on stock suspension (rear).

It worked out!
Just got it lowered on H&R Super Sports
18x8 ET39 (235/40) front & 18x9 ET 30 (245/40) rear
Probably going 225/255 when changing tires though.

Hi all,
I've read through (most of) this thread and I've seen some great looking cars.
I've got my car lowered with Eibach pro and I'm looking at replacing the stock wheels. My stock 17's sit ridiculously deep in the wheel wells so I'd like to fix that when getting new wheels & tires.
I have one concern, though: How does a lower ET influence the handling of the car? Does anyone have any experience with changing just ET (same tire size) and what impact (if any) did that have on the handling & stability of the car?
In theory, I would expect the ET value of the front wheels to have an influence on the steering behaviour and steering wheel feedback because you change the position of the wheel relative to the swivel point of the steering.
This explains it better than I can:

One thing is for certain, ride quality will suffer. I personally though, actually prefer a more "connected" feel. But so far as a BMW (having owned 4). Diameter will also come down to taste.

In my opinion the best way to go is to determine if you are going to lower the vehicle. Whether yes or no, I always try to go as wide as possible and at an aggressive of an offset without rubbing and having to perform any modifications. The wider the track, the better the handling and the better the steering feel. Just don't buy cheap wheels as you can end up with vibrations from them not being hubcentric. It takes hours of research per application over days to get close to what you think is a perfect fit.
