Temporay bandage for fog light
Grrr! I have a broken fog light! I'd like to see if I can wait until the spring to source the assembly and replace it myself. Is it a good idea to cover it with some duct tape just to keep the water, salt and debris away from the socket? The H7 bulb is still working, should I remove it if I decide to do this? Should I just man up and replace it in the cold? I really don't drive this car too much in the winter so I really don't need to use the fogs at all.
Thanks so much again for your advice!

I drove around with my foglight broken for like 3-4 months. The salt corroded the chrome on the inside and the bulb was not really good. It is fine to leave it exposed, just when you replace it get a new h7 bulb too.

This is my second winter with a cracked / hole in lenze fog light. It's still working. Search the thread, you can get a decient aftermarket assembly for like $40.
