Blew my Power Steering Pump.

So last week during the snow storm in NY, i decided to go out drifting like i usually do when it snows at this parking lot that i hang out at. I stared with the traction off and i wanted the car to come around more and to do better donut. So i decided to put it in dyno mode. Now this is the fun mode.. i had the car going sideways, doing donuts like a RWD then all of a sudden steering gets tight. Right away i knew the pump went. No power steering at low speeds, and the whining noise like a supercharger. Brought it to the dealer got it fixed under warranty. I got a new pump and a car wash for free. Gotta love Mercedes lol..

That sounds like fun. I had a CRX Si in high school and I used to do the same, but never had a problem with anything (NOTE: I am not saying these two cars are on the same level so you W204 purists don't go nuts)...You must have really been pushing the car to the limits. All good when its done safely (and covered under warranty).

I've read of this happening more than a few times on the W203 side. The power steering on these cars does not appreciate doughnuts.
