Ah, sorry dude. Well, in my short time on this, I would recommend getting the best legal representative your money can buy. Good lawyers, though expensive, may save you money in the long run.
Best of luck man.

Hey all,
I know this isn't the exact topic for the thread, but I did want to mention I did finally get my Ground Loop Isolator and it works amazing!!!! I don't know what that little dumb thing does and why Mercedes doesn't include it between the aux cord and where that travels internally to the sound system/amp in the car, this little thing works wonders. So, anyone considering charging their device and listening to through aux should def get this.

@dasinner: What do you have - UMI, UMI plus, Ipod Integration Kit? In any case, disconnect the iPod and do a hard reset holding down the center button and Menu for a few seconds. Then plug the iPod back in, see of this helps.

Sorry, should've been clearer. I did figure it out thanks to your post. Prior to that, I was doubting my radio had Aux ability at all. Thank you!

Could be the previous owner had an iPod Integration kit, removed it, and didnt replace the original Aux cable. Did you check by pulling out the glove box liner and making sure it isnt behind the radio headunit?

first do you have an extension cable? heres how I do it
Glove bock I plug in a male to male aux cord one side in glove box aux and one to my phone aux then turn on phone to max sound, then click disc on your dash board then go bottom left change to aux. If this still doesn't work then try turning up the volume from the car sometimes devices are very quite

If I connect my iphone/ipod using Aux to change songs I have to change in phone , I cant change through the car music controls of next and previous. Do you know solution to this ?

THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU ARE A HERO! had the car for 3 years, read so many threads online about connecting a simple aux cable instead of the ipod connection but had no luck.. Decided to search again and found your response!! Now I'm Rollin!!
