Does anyone have a remedy for aftermarket LED tail light error code?
I just ordered these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ht_5376wt_1167
Once installed when you get an error code, does it continue to notify you about the error while you are driving, or do you only get one notification when you start up the car? Thanks all for the help!

Well, he was looking for a permanent solution if the problem does occur. But he also asked how long and often the error would pop-up if it does occur. To which his answer was correct, overtime you start the car it pops up, just hit ok and it won't come back on until you turn off and restart the car. But if you navigate through the infotainment screen and go to messages you will see a (1) next to it.
As far as a fix for the error, your only option is to splice in a resistor or possibly have the dealership or someone re-code the car to not warn?
BUT, I think someone else has installed these before and noted that they didn't produce an error when he replaced his halogen tail lights.
PLEASE put up some pictures when you get them. I wanted to get these, but I was torn between the clear turn signal or the smoked one.

Yep. That guy would be me. Didn't get an error code at all. Countless road trips, snow, rain, and no probs at all..tails were made really well.

But, with a C350, instead of C300, didn't you already have OE LED taillamps? Isn't that what makes the difference between those cars which throw an error and those which don't?

Nope Sportstick. My car is a 350...but I didn't get P2, therefore, I went into these LED tails having halogen, non OEM tail lights.

Or, your particular vendor offers a design with internal error cancelling?
I'd like to figure this out before considering LEDs, as I would not want to deal with any error messages on my 300.

Perhaps the aftermarket will offer built in error cancellation?

No idea Sportstick. This is slightly perplexing. I also don't recall my vendor mentioning anything about internal error cancelers. Wish you the best though...they really are awesome tail lights.

I can't imagine that Mercedes-Benz would use a completely different wiring harness on the c350 that would allow it to be compatible with the LED tails even if it was a p1. Did you both (SC guy & Normandie) order your tails from the same manufacturer? Normandie has black around the housing and SCguy doesn't. I don't know if that's just paint or if it is a different housing. I guess we will find out if the error code gets thrown on p1 c300 when OP gets his in stock.

99.8% positive mine came from Sabersport on eBay. I can check when I get home from work later though, I still have the box they came in. Either way, Sabersport, Revosport, or a few more sellers, all appear to have the same ones that I have. Made by Eagle Eyes. As Jctevere said, I can't imagine that the 300 and 350 would have different wiring harnesses when both were p1 cars. No idea...

I just called the dealer and they said they "think" they will be able to re program the computer so it wont give an error message for $115
