I have just bought a used c280, wheels won't spin no matter how hard i try, even when esp is off, my brother told me it is 4matic, how can I know? there is no badge!

you could look underneath the front to see if there are axle shafts runnning into the spindles

No original paperwork with the car? I don't know the specs on the C280, but with automatic trans, the weight of the car, ESP that never completely turns off, even with the button reducing most of its control, and less power than the C300, I could anticipate that this is a "no wheelspin" car on dry roads as 4matic or rear wheel drive. Near any ice or snow??...a good observer could watch and see what starts to briefly spin.

c280 = c300, same engine, same horse power just a different badge, that's what i was told!

My Pops drives the c280 and i drive the c300, apparently the only difference is that the C280 is the Euro version and the C300 is the american? thats just what ive heard.
