I don't fully understand your question..."the plastic"? The only thing I changed was the door pin itself. Everything else is original. The grommet is part of the door trim panel, the pin is separate, so what do you mean by "all of it"?

My pins came with metal grommets that go around the pin . And I'm assuming I can change that out. But I didn't know how I would

Wow...now I understand...mine didn't come with grommets...just got 4 pins in a box. The end result would be nice, although I have not seen it, but I'm not sure you can do that without taking off the door trim...may not be worth the trouble, unless you see an easy process.

Btw, I am really cranky with Mercedes for being so cheap on this part. It looks AWEFUL factory. Yuck, I am going to try to put these on at some point in the near future.

I never replaced my rear door pins.... I think that needs to be done someday, just been waiting on a plug and play CF solution to match my fronts...

dont wanna hassle with fabricating right now my own grommet....

If anybody can do for me, I will pay you
