If you have 20 years experience- why are you on this forum asking about tools you should already have or know where to get them? Is it really easier to ask a question and wait for a response than to use Google?
Obviously, you have grown a set of bigboy internet ***** and now you are showing your a$$. Your immaturity is evident in your posts and its truly sad. Good luck with your brakes.

Oh like your led light mod. Googel a 7 spline socket and read the results. Then youl see why i asked here. Oh first step in 309 rwhp is tansmition efficiency. For those who Have a clue its in the converter and esc control.

My LED light mod?
WOW- that does come up with crazy search results.
You said it was a 7 spline socket? The set recommended to you handles 6, 12, and 4 point nuts and bolts. It doesn't mention a 7 point.
Glad to see you lightened up a little.

Ya know I could have used a pipe wrench and avoided this whole thing.
I just don’t feel like destroying the bolts. There are probably 15 bucks a piece.
As far as my attitude I generally don’t use forums. Most posters are armatures in their field yet give advice like they have been involved in the design on the item they are talking about
What I was hoping for was a MB tech to jump on and say yes it’s a MB specific tool like my techs think or no you can get something from harbor freight. It was a simple question and if they didn’t know they should have just not posted

BTW 2009 c350 309 rwHPno mods. Just a laptop ASCII cable and 20 years of experience. I might have uploaded instructions for free but you know I’m a terd and rude and obviously have a 1 of a kind MB
To the guy who posted about doing brakes and took 1 hour to put a caliper spring on stick to your day job and give advice on things you’re qualified to talk about. 500 posts don’t make you an expert. I like to eat but I don’t get on cooking forums and tell professional chefs’ how to use an oven
Believe it or not there are chefs that they don't know how to cook, just like there is Mechanics with 20+ years of experience that they don't have a clue about mechanics, we all the members here in the forum we try to help by sharing our experiences.

If i were looking for others experiences i would have asked for their experiences. Not a specific question about a tool. I know I’m immature but I believe people should only talk about things they have experience with. But hey I guess that’s what forums are for. The uniformed sharing their experience with the uneducated. Now but out.

You are an idiot. Almost every single post you have made since joining this forum has been rude, sarcastic or just plain ignorant. These forums are for enthusiasts to learn, have fun and even just socialize with like minded individuals.
If you just want pure info with nothing else, buy a shop manual and stay off the forum!

Half the time no one can figure out what you are talking about anyhow...

c300 sport cheater??

Anyhow, if you weren't so busy flaming on everyone that had any input, you would have had more helpful responses....seems like most people don't really like trying to help pathetic people only to be harassed for their effort.

And don't forget to pick up a dictionary along with that shop manual.

blokrocbet the point here is to have common courtesy with fellow forum members... This forum is designed and dedicated for automotive enthusiasts with varying degree of knowledge level... some members here might only know on how to change and replace light bulbs but many have gone the extra mile and have conducted research and development of products that wasn't available to our cars a couple of years ago whether it's an external modification or something as advanced as lighting/ ecu enhancements

If you want to ask something... Be polite and remain courteous to people who seems to share the piece of the puzzle to you

I hope you find the right tool you were looking for and can go on and finish your brake job

If this doesn't make any sense to you then I advice you to use whatever that spline tool you are looking for to tighten up that nut in your head

When I took calipers off I used a regular 8 point socket and it worked fine.

everyone...

This thread has gotten out of hand. It takes multiple people to have an argument, not just one. If any of you feel offended at the attitude by another poster, you can choose to be a part of the problem, or chose to ignore and not make a post. It's that simple.

So, let's all put down the Red Bull and step back a few minutes, please.

Not fueling the fire, but for anyone else who wants to remove the calipers, its just a regular 6 point bolt. I've done it on all 4 corners, no need for a special wrench.

Wonder if this is like the side marker lights where some are one way, some another, etc?

You're right thats not a 6 point bolt, but thats also not how you remove the caliper. Reach around the back, there are two bolts back there which you need to remove in order to remove the caliper.

Also, I have to correct myself, you need an allen wrench to get the carrier bolts off.

Here is my DIY front & rear are very similar except the spring in the front is much stronger.

Ok I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and look in the am when i get to the shop. But I have a MB tech who says it isn’t so. If you’re right I’ll give you step 1 on getting the HP to the rear wheel and first dips on take of front brakes. This whole thing is over brembro. Ahhhhhhhh forget it the first step in getting CHP (crankshaft horse power) to the RW is to make the torque converter more efficient you’re going to lose 40 to 50 hp thru the Trans but it can be minimized thru fluid viscosity. But that only step 1 of a very time consuming tuning process
