Turbo c350
Saw this browsing through youtube...

There was another thread in a different section of the forum, so I thought I'd put it here.
Seems pretty cool although the video didn't really provide any specs and I couldn't find much through the website.
For those of you looking for boost, I guess it's finally been done. Does anyone know who's car this is?

Yes - I guess if the mod became more popular one could move away from hand fabricated pipework. Lot's of welding there. This was work in progress. As you can see there are untrimmed zip ties everywhere.

Curious why they told you about it when they refused to tell me anything about it:

It was a one off custom car that belongs to a professional baseball player. He doesn't want his mod list disclosed.

Can you describe the modifications performed on the Turbo C350 W204 that you have video of on YouTube? Is this a kit you plan on making available, or a one-off custom?
Thanks!
Matt

There was a turbo C350 running around Cape Town a while back with reduced compression & all. Went like hell but has left town & no one seems to know where it is. Job was done locally.

Would it even be cost-effective to mod a c300 4matic? I am assuming that the 4matic system would probably be the weakest link, but do you think it could handle around 300hp? Do you even think a turbo could allow for near 100hp gain at the crank without causing severe reliability issues?

If it's a rear mounted turbo then theoretically you can piece a kit together relatively cheap. Most time consuming aside from tuning would be making all the pipe work.
Also, given the placement of the TB, I imagine that's why the engine bay looks like that. It's possible to remount the TB I think but I guess the owner just didn't worry about it too much.
And regardless of 4-matic or RWD, I don't think our average none AMG trannies can even hold the power boost. I know the 5-spd in mine already has problems as it is now with the stock power *shifty*
