Lowering suspension on C300 sport 4matic
Hello everyone
I have been reading on the forum, and much to my dismay it looks like there aren't many options for a reasonable/significant drop on the 4matic cars.
I love the look of the H&R super sports, but they are not made for the 4matic, only rwd. I have read that a guy on this board installed them on his 4matic, but I spoke with H&R today and they highly suggested to not do this.
Basically it looks like the only options are H&R sports and Eibach.
I heard that the H&R gives a little more drop compared to the eibach, however. While the H&R claim a 1.25" drop, I read it really only drops the car about .5" because that sport is about .5" lower than the luxury.
So what are the best options in your opinion, are coil-overs an option, I really don't want to spend that much money, but I don't know what else to do.

H&R is quality. Also don't forget...quality comes at a price. Coilovers are going to be about $1000 or above. I would not buy used either because I know on my old Koni's for the life time guarantee to be valid it has to be redeemed by the original owner. Just some food for thought.

No one has been able to properly explain why the Super Sport springs will not fit a 4Matic. I ordered a pair and will install them in April. If you go to the Carlsson website you will note that they use the same lowering springs for 4Matics and RWD.

I was skeptical about this statement at first. I then did a small bit of research and you are 100% right. Does anyone know WHY they dont make coilovers for 4matics?

I guess a custom air setup it is...
