I'll give you the details once I'm installing it.

What I don't know yet is if I'll get a fault indicator for the fog lights. And also how hard it would be to connect them to the daylight switch.

I have to send them an email and ask, or if anyone knows please share.

To robyc1982: almost certain you will have to ask your shop to "remove" fogs from PC controll, otherwise fault message will be shown.
Waiting for your ascertainment - seriously think about doing the same on my C220 BE.
Good luck

Hi guys,

I talked to the guys that are selling them and they said it's plug&play only if you connect them in the place of fog lights. That means that they will be on only if you switch your "fog lights" on.

If you want to use them all the time, as daylight you have to find a way to connect them to your daylight switch. Actually I was expecting that.

I've decided to postpone this mod for now, until I'll have some time to figure out all the details and some time to do the mod.

All the best

My plan is to have them on all the time (doesnt need fog light or daylight switch - there's no daylight switch in Australia model)

The only concern is how to by pass the canbus so it didnt keep on telling me that the fog is broken.

Perhaps wire in a resistor that would still show 55w pull? Or maybe if you get Star Diagnostics they can remove foglight from the canbus?

But my question is this? How will you get the LED to still switch with the dual mode (daytime brightness vs night time brightness)?

Exactly, that also comes in mind. I've talked to the guy who is going to install it and he said if I want to leave it on all the time, my option is to choose one or the other (daytime or night brightness).

I have a 2011 comin to replace my 2008 next week and love the look of the LED in the day time. At night it looks weak, not what you expect from a Benz, the E class LEDs are much nicer. I saw this yesterday on ebay too. Im gonna try and get mine to stay on day mode all the time, once the car gets here Im gonna get on all the mods
