I'd recommend buying some moleskin so you dont get scratch marks on the tint.
Plus you probably want to post in the W204 forum

Do you have black interior or grey? I can't really tell from the pictures. If black, I would do 35's, if grey, do 20's. I have 35's in both w204's in my sig, but the picture is darkened a little bit.
Basically: 35s on black or 20s on grey/tan will allow you to have decent privacy during the day (being able to make out your shadow and if in sunlight be able to make out who you are), but offer awesome privacy at night by not being able to see in unless you are right under a light or someone is right up to your glass.

i have a 30% on my white w204. i wish i would have gone 25% or 20%.
during the day 30% is completly visible even with my black interior. at night my face isnt completely visible but you can still make out my face. i would suggest 25%
not the best picture but if you look through the back window thats what it looks like during the day. my headlights are acting like the sun.

Thank you - I just received a quote for Llumar tint and after reading everything I can find, I believe that is what I am going with also, Llumar High Performance series @ 20%...Did you consider going one step darker on your rear window?

I have a Ash Grey Interior. Tints are super light, I don't need to be pulled over for the BS of having too dark tints. I have no plates in the front.

@scat01 Yea that's what I have but at 30% all around and yea I was thinking about it but I'm not a fan of having 2 different shades of tints on a car because IMO it looks weird. I went 30% all around because I thought it would be too dark for my dad (older guy to see at night) but looking at it now he can see fine at night even with darker tint.
heres a picutre i just took. it looks a tad darker in the picture but in person the tint is a bit lighter making it easier to see though.
30%. llumar

Beatiful car Gatekeeper, could you add more pics from different angles - i am also getting my car tinted next weekend and am still bouncing back and forth between 35% and 20%...
Also, could all of you guys add what brand you have installed as well?

Here are some more
Winter tires and rims on
and bone stock.....
What brand,,,,I have no idea.....my cousin does tint in Windsor, so it's what ever he uses, and bets the heck out of me if I know the name of it, the reason I use him is it's cheap.....(FREE).....but he also does not remove panels to put the tint on, and this I like the most.....

Looks beautiful man - but it is dark, so I am confused again...
Jeff - can you reply with the brand and percentage you have on your C63?
And...c250 - I agree on not mixing tint % between front and rear side windows (just my opinion, many have done it and like it) but I do not think you see the variance if you do something like 20% rear windshield and 35% all side windows, it just appears to darken the sides a little I believe...So, at this particular second, I am thinking that combo...but will probably change my mind 5 more times before I get there.

Oh you mean the rear windshield. Yea that's actually a good idea. Wish I thought of that before I got my tint. But yea I think that's prob your beat bet. Do you live in toronto? I have a really good tint guy who does several dealerships, has a good rep and uses the llumar film.

During the day it's perfect, on a clear night it's not so bad, only time it's an issue is if it's raining in the evening.
I did go dark in the back, and light in the front but it looked funny, and I found the light to be not enough, but the dark can be a pain....if you do just the back window dark and sides lighter it won't look right either
watch out for the metallic films, they can cause issues with the electronics
now as for tint, I have had cheap stuff on and expensive stuff, found no difference other than the better stuff keeps you cooler as it keeps the sun's uv rays and such out more than just a plain old dark film
other than my cousin doing the tint on my cars, the only other person/shop was James at Tint Master in Mississauga, and no matter what tint is used they all have a lifetime warranty.....

I'm not sure of the brand, but I think my tints are 45 or 50% tints. I got it done a while ago. They are pretty light cuz I don't want to be hassled by the cops and I have a Grey Interior. My tints are definitely Ceramic because I asked specifically for them and they don't interfere with my reception.

I have a Steel Grey C300 as well and I went with 35% all around... It's all a matter of personal opinion, I wasn't looking to turn my car into a hoodrich benz and I felt that 35% was classy looking...
But to each is own.
I'll try and take some pics and post them tomorrow.

Way to introduce yourself Fool, mocking on members cars in less than 10 posts?...Develop a bond (and a personality) before you start referring to classy owner's cars as "hoodrich"...

Like I said, it's a matter of opinion... and I have mine. I think going too dark on a luxury sedan makes it look hoodrich and less classy. Whereas on a sportscar it's more acceptable (in my eyes).
I'm not knocking anyone on here, and if I offended anyone I apologize. However, I'm sure they like it enough and are secure enough in their opinions to not get all upset and rip their tints off because I'm not fond of it.
So yeah, I can't wait until I get 53 more posts so I can call people out too!

Ah, my apologies for having an opinion... I'll make sure I check it at the door next time. Where do I pick up the flyer that tells me what to think and feel, is it next to the kool-aid?

The flyer can be picked up in the common sense folder at the top of the page...

So at what point can I post something like:
No, I am pretty sure they are all Civics and Jettas. I mean, what right minded BMW or MB owner would have such disregard for all the time, money, and effort the brilliant minded engineering teams put into these cars to ensure they handle as close to perfect as possible?
Unless of course, you own your car with the intent to stage it in an outlet mall parking lot with the hood open and stereo cranked for people to gawk at, as opposed to actually driving it...

I just want to make sure I'm doing all this right... Thanks in advance!

^ Lol, you guys are crazy.
@ Scat01, IMO it sounds like 35% all around would be perfect for you. I think 20% would be too dark. If you were really doubtful you could always do 20% on the rear window and 35% on the four sides. I think you would be happy with that. I have 35% all around and I think its perfect!
