Basically: 35s on black or 20s on grey/tan will allow you to have decent privacy during the day (being able to make out your shadow and if in sunlight be able to make out who you are), but offer awesome privacy at night by not being able to see in unless you are right under a light or someone is right up to your glass.

just a preview, and tint is 25% all around, black interior
during the day 30% is completly visible even with my black interior. at night my face isnt completely visible but you can still make out my face. i would suggest 25%

not the best picture but if you look through the back window thats what it looks like during the day. my headlights are acting like the sun.

What brand,,,,I have no idea.....my cousin does tint in Windsor, so it's what ever he uses, and bets the heck out of me if I know the name of it, the reason I use him is it's cheap.....(FREE).....but he also does not remove panels to put the tint on, and this I like the most.....

Jeff - can you reply with the brand and percentage you have on your C63?
And...c250 - I agree on not mixing tint % between front and rear side windows (just my opinion, many have done it and like it) but I do not think you see the variance if you do something like 20% rear windshield and 35% all side windows, it just appears to darken the sides a little I believe...So, at this particular second, I am thinking that combo...but will probably change my mind 5 more times before I get there.
I did go dark in the back, and light in the front but it looked funny, and I found the light to be not enough, but the dark can be a pain....if you do just the back window dark and sides lighter it won't look right either
watch out for the metallic films, they can cause issues with the electronics
now as for tint, I have had cheap stuff on and expensive stuff, found no difference other than the better stuff keeps you cooler as it keeps the sun's uv rays and such out more than just a plain old dark film
other than my cousin doing the tint on my cars, the only other person/shop was James at Tint Master in Mississauga, and no matter what tint is used they all have a lifetime warranty.....

But to each is own.
I'll try and take some pics and post them tomorrow.
Way to introduce yourself Fool, mocking on members cars in less than 10 posts?...Develop a bond (and a personality) before you start referring to classy owner's cars as "hoodrich"...
Like I said, it's a matter of opinion... and I have mine. I think going too dark on a luxury sedan makes it look hoodrich and less classy. Whereas on a sportscar it's more acceptable (in my eyes).
I'm not knocking anyone on here, and if I offended anyone I apologize. However, I'm sure they like it enough and are secure enough in their opinions to not get all upset and rip their tints off because I'm not fond of it.
So yeah, I can't wait until I get 53 more posts so I can call people out too!

The flyer can be picked up in the common sense folder at the top of the page...
So at what point can I post something like:
Unless of course, you own your car with the intent to stage it in an outlet mall parking lot with the hood open and stereo cranked for people to gawk at, as opposed to actually driving it...
I just want to make sure I'm doing all this right... Thanks in advance!
@ Scat01, IMO it sounds like 35% all around would be perfect for you. I think 20% would be too dark. If you were really doubtful you could always do 20% on the rear window and 35% on the four sides. I think you would be happy with that. I have 35% all around and I think its perfect!
