I put the puddle lights into the door saftey lights, they only come on when the doors open.. so meh.. You could find a different place to wire them if you are ambitious.
And yeah, I bought them from miracle auto design. I'm sure they are all made by the same company, but the miracle auto design seller was the quickest shipper Ive ever seen

wat.
do you mean, where would you wire them if you want them to turn on when you unlock the car? .. So far the concensus is the rear dome light. As it is rarely used independently and does turn on when the car unlocks.
I disliked that option because sending wires back to the light fixture just was just too inefficient for my own tastes. the feature of that operation would be nice though, so it might be worth doing and then forgetting how much of a hassle it was to guide the wires all the way back.
My way doesnt require any extra length of wire and is relatively easy to do, but gets you mildly pointless operation... haha, one step above being unhooked altogether
it is nice getting out of the car though having the ground lit.

Miracle Auto Design was the first to sell it on eBay and many here have bought from that seller. There are a number other sellers selling the same mirrors (which I think are all made by the same manufacturer), but cheaper if you factor in the shipping cost. Miracle Auto Design ships extremely fast, but I would rather save a little more money and wait a little longer for shipping.

The sellers user name is " GAUGETUNER " and he doesnt want to help me out he told me the mirrors are for 2010 and 2011 but my car is 2008.
Who ever is interested i can sell it for $150 shipped pm me if interested i have pics

Has anyone tried changing the lower housing that has the puddle lights with the OEM lower housing? So you still keep the matte black lower part of the mirror instead of the gloss black.
I noticed they are not one piece and I wanted to know if anyone had issues with the fitting of the lower housing before tearing my mirrors apart.

I could have sworn that the original eBay listing said it fits 2007-2009 W204.
As for the glossy black lower portion, I will probably spray a matte clearcoat so that it matches the OEM mirror base.

Do I have to take off the door panel to do this or is there a wire at the base of the mirror I could tap into?
I would like to activate the LED puddle lights however I can.
BTW, I sanded down the lower glossy black plastic part with 400 grit sandpaper to remove the gloss, cleaned it thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth, and sprayed 3 coats of Dupli-Color Trim Paint, which is a matte black paint made to match OEM trim and unpainted black plastic.
I am very happy with how it turned out, it looks perfect!
Next step installing them...

Hi i took apart the panel on the door covering the electric door module with 8 ports in it. Cars that don't have puddle lights have port 1 empty whereas new MY12 facelifted c classes have port 1 used for puddle lights i believe.
If anyone who has installed this mirror could try getting the harness/plug for port 1 from mercedes or fabricating it, and plugging it into the puddle light in the mirror to see if it will work, it'd be great.
i have not had time to try this yet.

Thanks hhpc.
I installed the mirrors yesterday. It was a bit of a pain and took much longer than expected, but it was worth it. I decided to wire the puddle lights later.
One important tip: I suggest testing the lights before fully assembling and installing the entire mirror housing. Mine didn't work the first time and thought I had a defective set. I soon discovered that I had the plug for the LED signal socket in the wrong way (the wires are polarized). This would have been a huge PITA if I went with soldering the wires.
I went with the chrome finish again, as I wanted something a little different and it added a subtle touch on a silver car. The chrome mirrors were a bit hard photograph, however it looks much better in person. The auto trim spray paint I used to paint the glossy black parts was a perfect match with the matte black mirror base.

LOADED 08' C350 & 14' GLK-350 Diamond White (P1, MM, AMG Pkg, Ln Trkng, Htd Sts, Keylss Go)
just installed mine yesterday... cracked the circle thing behind the drivers side mirror that supports it as it pivots, but good thing it did not effect functionality or looks
Like the way they look, may the car look more modern for sure...
still kinda big though and dumbo-elephant like when looking at straight on...
i notice everybody posts the side view pics for that same reason hahah

Just got mine, took 5 days total! Paid last friday and received them this morning (Montreal/Quebec)) The paint looks nice and is a perfect match with the #650 White of my car.
I'll install them this w-end and post some pics. Really surprised of the good quality vs. price, can't wait to try them.
