New 2010+ Style Mirror LED 'COVERS' for $139?

Has anyone seen or purchased these?

What do you guys think?

Ideally, if you have the motorized 'fold in' mirrors, these should work.

I emailed them just now confirming that they will work for 08-09 w204. I think they just have the wrong image up there..

If they tell me they will work I'm gonna take a chance on them, I've been looking for something like this forever!

Although it won't be the 'smaller' mirror, it'll have that LED look. I wonder how the puddle LED white light will work, wiring wise. Will it only light up after arming and disarming the alarm?

I guess we'll soon find out.

If it's as described above, I'd hope fitment is REALLY good. Otherwise it will only make the wind noise that the dumbo ears already have even worse.

Here is their response on the fitment:

Thanks for your inquiry.
FYI, this mirror cover set is for 2007-2009 Mercedes (Pre-faclift) W204. It does not fit the 2010-2011 face-lifted W204 with the smaller redesigned mirrors.
Please check the making year of your W204 to verify if it's a pre-facelift W204 or it's a face-lifted W204.
Please don't hesitate to e-mail us at miracleautodesign@hotmail.com if you have any questions.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Sounds like they should work, fingers crossed!
They were shipped today, so we'll find out soon enough. I've really got high hopes for these things

I don't really care much for the look of the 2011 mirrors. I would just get these for the LED puddle light. But my question is - how does it light up? I'm guessing you have to run the wires?

I will be very interested to see how the person who bought them turns out. And get their impression.

I'm excited too, I can't wait.

I don't know how I will wire the puddle lights up. I read in another thread that some wire them to the rear dome light, I'll have to do some research in a forum where this mod is more common.

After routing the wiring for the reverse camera, I imagine the puddle lights will be cake.

What I am going to do if these turn out too look good, work well, and no issues. Is tackle this install at the same time as replacing my speakers. This way when I have the tweeter out, or the door panels off - I would imagine it would be a heck of a lot easier to run the wires through the door and down into the engine compartment through the fire wall to the front fuse box?

I doubt you would need to go to the fuse box in the engine comp. probably just the interior box

Congrats...hope they work out well.

My biggest disappointment with the stock 09 mirror is turbulent wind noise. After you install these covers, could you please let us know the effect on wind noise, better, worse, or no difference from the change in shape and mass of the side mirrors?

Thanks much!

I plan on doing a write up once I get them as far as install goes, i'll make sure to comment on any wind noise improvement or lack thereof

I don't know how you guys can hear wind noise from the mirrors. It might be though because I probably have an improper seal on my rear driver door so it masks the wind noise? But even that isn't too noticeable, so I couldn't even imagine wind noise attributed to the mirror.

Yeah, i was thinking about this on my way into the office this morning, i don't think i have ever noticed a wind noise issue related to the mirrors in the first place so it will be hard to compare..

I also have a slight wind seal leak on (i think) my driver side rear door. so it conceals any other wind noise that might be going on outside

I've had this conversation with the MB TS who was visiting the dealer. My doors have had seals replaced due to warpage, and is now quite tight. I've done the test of taping the door-to-pillar seam to rule those areas out. The noise is turbulence, not aspiration, and emanates from the mirror area. The TS confirmed this was a known issue (and also addressed the shape of the rear door quarter window vertical molding as another issue). The smaller size and different shape of the 2010 mirror improved the issue, as an A-B drive comparison will show, which gives a good reason for a mirror swap, although price and smaller mirror size are cons. So, I was wondering how the shape might change the noise generating characteristic of the mirror.

I know for a fact that I've got a seal issue in the rear driver side area, as when it has rained, the wind noise is more noticeable and you can hear a wet element to its tone. I should try to get those door seals replaced to rule that out..

As far as these new covers go, only time will tell. I really wish they were shipping out of somewhere in the states though, est arrival time is 2 more weeks
