Guys, I really need your expert opinion. Please help!

I would like your guys opinion on how much am I looking at to fix this? I think I'll need to buy a new bumper, wheel, and possibly a headlight. Anyone has the oem part numbers for these and where to get these the cheapest? Please help.

for the bumper i think you should check out the forum market section and see if a nice deal comes up

for the headlights you should do the same thing

for your rim, if the scratch isn't deep enough you may be able to fill it up and it will be as good as new

looks like you will need another corner marker to

can i ask what happened?

Idk know how much it will cost but really feel your pain . Just got into a bad accident the other day and now I need a whole new front end literally . Try out Getmercedesparts. Com . I think that's the right spelling but you should google check it first .

I really ppreciate your response. Trust me, I would check the forums because I don't have much money, but this isn't my car. So I'm sure I'm going to have to purchase new components. I just want to know how hard the dealer is going to try to rape me or if I can order the parts elsewhere. Thanks.

Might I suggest a different approach? Forget the dealer which you mentioned. Find a good independent shop which specializes in MB/BMW, etc. Talk to their body shop/restoration manager...they probably have a good source for parts and can work with you on aftermarket substitutions where it makes sense. They may have a wheel repair person who comes by, or help you assess aftermarket wheels (which this forum can do as well...4 new reps can be as much as repairing one OE wheel). These suggestions are based on experience with an outstanding indy shop in SE Michigan....Motorwerks. Perhaps you have something similar wherever you may be located.

Thanks for the comments, you guys are really helpful. If it was my car, I would just get the bumper and wheel repaired instead of new ones. Insurance is handling it right now, but it looks like I am going to have to foot the bill to fix this. I would even get used parts, but sadly, I think I'm going to get bent over on this. I think the new led bumper is going to kill me. Who am I kinding all three items brand new are going to kill me. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a reliable place that sells these parts because beverly hills mercedes is going to want a house mortgage for all of this. Just wondering what peoples experiece was with this level of damage.

Well, today I get raped. Insurance is not going to cover it and the owner of the car got irate about how he was going to sue me for the car and some "medical bills" that don't exist. I calmed him down and now he's going get an estimate today and wants to be "paid in full" by the end of the day. So much for getting multiple estimates and stuff or trying to work with the guy who is paying for this. This guy is crazy!

Well good luck. It seems if insurance won't cover it then the situation has a bit more to it than meets the eye.

For what it's worth, I'd be pretty irate also. And I'd expect it all to be replaced OEM. Including the rim.

And you're lucky that it seems cosmetic. Because if it's more than skin deep, I personally believe, there's a good chance the car will never be 100% the same after that.

^^^^ I'm not trying to argue. But why be irate in this particular case? It was an accident. Accidents happen every day, human beings are not perfect. I have been begging this guy to give me the chance to fix the car the entire week and he was not cooperating. Today he's actually giving me a chance, and I'm going give him 5k cash for this. Anywho, I guess I'll have a couple re-furbished oem parts for sale, since I am going to 5k is going to assure brand new oem parts. I understand if no one want to buy any of it, but we will see. I'm going to guess he has bi-xenons.

Please understand that your approach is quite puzzling. Why have you or him not taken the car to his choice or other reputable body shop which does Mercedes and acquired a written estimate for repair? How do you have any idea if $5,000 is far too much, too little, or close? Do you have a release written for him to acknowledge that any amount of cash you give him waives any further action against you? If neither of you wants to invoke a comprehensive insurance claim, you should be paying the body shop directly for the repair, or reimbursing him upon presentation of his paid receipt, with a very clear and strong paper trail.

I will be reviewing the estimates today, and we will then document everything at a notary. I'm trying to do my due diligence but a lack of information is killing me. I was just trying to gather my own ifo to know what is reasonable and what is not. But I can't even find part numbers for the things that will be replaced. Have those numbers help. I own a 99 lexus which was pratically given to me, but I do maintenance and stuff on it all the time. So I know parts can be expensive. But I also know I can save a ton of money if I order the parts from Carson toyota because they have a special department that sells parts all the time. A rinky dink shop in LA may mark up the parts over msrp. I don't remeber his name, but I see there is a guy on here that does the same thing. My point is I was just trying to find info. I appreciate everyone who tried to help.
