2008 C300
New guy here
Hello fellow MB fans and car enthusiasts
I just purchased my first Mercedes a few days ago and after resolving a little trouble, I now own a Mercedes c300.
I drove the c300 to work today and since my work place does not provide a parking lot or garage, I had to park it on the street. I came out for lunch to check on my baby and saw 2 guys cleaning the building wall with these super long brushes right next to my car. I quickly moved it to another spot.
Forgot how stressful and paranoid I get when owning a new vehicle.

So far, lovin the car and especially all the extra perks that a Mercedes has. I came from a 2001 Honda Accord so it was a pretty big upgrade.
Only complain is that this car is smaller then I expected on the inside. I'm 6'2 and I like to sit straight up so I hit my head on the roof a lot. I had to adjust the seat to the lowest setting so I don't keep knocking on the roof.

Picked up a red c300 from the local mercedes dealership. The salesman warned me that almost every red car they had sold from their lot had trouble. I didn't believe him and I loved the red sports car look on the sports model. I took it home that night, parked it into my garage and went to sleep.
The next morning while I was trying to set up my garage opener, I noticed a puddle of oil on the floor of my garage. I looked underneath the car and there was oil slowly dripping from the car. I drove it back to the dealership and as i was on the freeway, white smoke started coming out of the rear of the car.
I pulled into the dealership and the salesman walked over to me and said with a smile "I told you".
I swapped it for another color.
The next morning while I was trying to set up my garage opener, I noticed a puddle of oil on the floor of my garage. I looked underneath the car and there was oil slowly dripping from the car. I came from a 1998 Honda Accord V6 as well and you're right it is a big jump.

My buddy asked why did I get a beige colored car when I showed him the car. His mind was blown as he got closer and the color started to change to a silver haha.

I totally didn't think about the increase in my insurance from the Honda, which was only liability to full coverage on the MB.
Insurance for the c300 is about $1400 a year for full coverage. I've only had 1 accident and 2 traffic tickets in 13 years of driving. *knocks on wood*
