Did you disassemble the housing to put the blackout tape right on the clear glass lens? Or did you just put it on fully assembled?

Any tips? Thinking of trying my hand at it this weekend. How about washing? Is it durable over many months or do you have to reapply it often?

Didn't hafta disassemble anything lol. Its really easy I just literally put two strips down (since the blackout tape isn't thick enough to cover the whole top half) and made it so it perfectly fits. Looks like one piece of black. Just make sure you get an box cutter or x-acto knife to trim the edges perfectly and watch for bubbles.

As for durability, I haven't had any problems. No bubbles, no peeling, nothing. Its been on for over a year now. I'm sure it'll be a pain to peel off at this point so make sure you want it there haha
