Personally, love my pano roof. The negatives of pano roof however are cost and weight. You can achieve the same exterior "look" by simply vinyl wrapping it.

I absolutely wish you could get the larger panoramic roof but the C300 is not offered in Canada with it. You can only get the C350 with that larger roof.

Panorama roof are very cool, personally I just tilt open my sunroof I rarely open it all the way, so I don’t care too much.

I actually went crazy trying to find one with a panoramic roof so much that I changed the color I wanted the car in. I originally wanted the silver but I got white instead and it was well worth it even when you don't use it, it looks amazing

First of all, your English is much better than many Americans who post here, so congratulations on your foreign language studies!! (But, just look again when to use upper case letters.) My C Class is two years old, and I have never even opened the regular sunroof! I like the climate control. Also, I am not that worried about the resale, as I have a manual transmission, which already has a lower resale. I think the panoramic roof is mostly for styling, and it was not that important to me. Some people here like the styling so much, the pretend to have a panoramic roof by covering their entire roof with a black vinyl sheet. Our expression is "to each, his own".

The pano is beautiful and I would not have ordered my arctic white w204 without it.

It looks spectacular on Iridium Silver as well!

I decided NOT to get the pano roof. I test drove one with a pano and one with the regular sunroof. I found the pano roof to be MUCH noiser than the regular sunroof when opened. I have the sunroof open about 95% of the time so while I love the look of the pano roof...the extra wind noise was a deal breaker for me

I like sunroof/moonroof. Without to with sunroof is a big step up to me. However, I feel sunroof to panorama is a small step and I have to pay much more for it. I'd rather pay for other features.

I never worry about resale value as I always keep cars as long as it runs fine.

I agree.. by the way, what does w204 stand for? I am new to this site.. I am assuming it has something to do with years or generation but I can't figure it out! Lol..N

I have a black car and ordered pano. Glad I have it, but not worth the option I paid when I built the car. The girls however LOVE it when the shade rolls back and they look up at night.

Mercedes model designation. "W" means Sedan. 204 is the platform (perhaps 'platform' is not technically the right word).

For example, the GLK 350 is "X204".

Platform is the perfect word...for a moment, I thought you worked in the business! You'd be surprised how many folks still write "frame" for a unitized body vehicle!

thank you Sportstick for your nice compliment
I think the pano. roof on the Light colours will add more beauty to the car so it is a MUST on the whit and silver but on black you cant even recognize from out side but from inside that is anther story.

Plus, with the sunroof perched on top of the roof when it's open, the likely hood of damage from flying rocks is a consideration.

The second problem (for me) would be keeping the inside area around the opening clean since it looked like a dirt catcher.

It makes it so the roof antenna doesn't stick out on any car asides from black as well

Always tought it was stupid to not body match that to your paint.

Long before the Panorama roof became a more common option, I had my roof panel painted black for cosmetic reasons. I had a 2002 Passat and it had a nice sweeping roof line and painting the center roof panel black created a continuous arcing plane from the base of the front windshield to the back of the rear glass. It also hides the retangular black hole of the sunroof in a really sleek way.

I ordered my C300 with the panel not only because it looks better than the stock sunroof, but it makes the inside look much brighter with a nice sky view, especially from the back seat.

One thing I don't like about the Panorama roof is that it looks awkward when it is fully open as the panel stacks on top of the roof in that position.

+1

The design of the pano roof on my mom's E350 is MUCH better. It still slides back and sits on top of the roof but it's ALOT thinner than the sliding glass on the C300 so it doesn't stand out nearly as much. BUT wind noise is just the same/as bad.

I never go in the back of my car so I really don't care what kinda view my rear passengers get. lol. As for the look, I have a black car so I don't really think it'd look too different. But my brother's E550 has it and I'm always in the back seat of that car and I find it pretty cool, but def not a feature I'd really care for.

Originally thought the Pano Roof wasn't going to be a big deal. Now that I have it, I love it!! Much nicer than the standard roof! And I have the Iridium Silver!

Putting vinyl on the roof to make it look like it has the pano roof to me is not much different than putting an AMG badge on a non AMG car.

Love it, but wish there were 2 of me so the other could drive while I sit in the back seat enjoying the pano.
