Black Aftermarket Grill? Good Quality? Color Match?
Can anyone who has installed the after market C300 sport grill (chrome tipped), comment on the quality, fitment and match to the OEM car black?
I am also looking at the replica C63 grill.
tough decision!

You might want to post specifics of which grille you're talking about and then you'll probably get more responses. There are many different "aftermarket c300 sport grilles" out there. Also, when you say chrome-tipped, I'm not sure if you mean all-black, but with the chrome Star or whether you mean a C63 style that is all black except for the chrome slats and Star.
My all-black w/ chrome star fits perfectly and install wasn't too bad. Quality-wise, it's fine for the price I paid, but is all plastic, so is not up to par w/ OEM. The black matches just fine w/ my non-metallic black paint. Search for the thread I started about the grille install for pics and info.

I am debating between either of those, or getting my OEM grill painted like the 2nd link for $200.

if you want gloss black you could paint it in an afternoon, if you want satin black, you could plasti-dip it in an hour, either tape off or remove the chrome bits and replace when dry. easy as cake.
here I found a video, the kid in it is kind of a tool but it shows you how easy it is. also you can peel it off if you don't like it.

Do you have any other pictures of the C63 replica on your car? I think I am going to try and paint mine black - and if it is a disaster, I will buy a replica lol...
