Since I also drives BMW beside MB, bimmerpost.com is of my interest as well.

Came across this upcoming F30 (rendered, but should be 95+% close), the c class rear is not bad at all. What do you guys think?

Another round of ICE
With MB dropping the manual trans, the F30 is looking better in several ways!

Not too shabby. But with the recent styling direction BMW is heading. Why would anyone get a 7-series or 5 series when a 3-series for 1/3 the price would look almost EXACLTY the same to 90% of the world (people who don't know much about cars)... I like the rear-end quite a bit - but too boxy/"turtlish" in the rear bumper if it does end up like that. The front is simply not my cup of tea. I wonder what the interior looks like though, that has long been my bone of contention as it looks so bland and boring IMO.

I just can't get into BMW as a brand , I view then more like an appliance than a car . Had to use my cousins 3 series yesterday to get around as my car is still in the shop and I felt line I was driving a washing machine with wheels . I do like the 1 series though .

I seriously don't mind driving one of these. But like hitokiri said, I prefer the way our car ride over the Bmw 3 series. Test drove one a few days ago and I never regretted going with the C.

It is all about space and what you are using it for jc, I still own and use a CTS for when I need to take clients or peers anywhere in my car - knowing they will be cramped as hell in my C series (or 3 series previously) - In addition, the comfort of a 5 series or E class is miles beyond the entry level cars that are great commuter/"sport" type drivers...imo

Starting from the F10, how BMW rides become more like Mercedes. Most of bmw users complaining why it doesn't feel the same (hard suspension and very connected to the road), while I find it "just nice". I had an e90 before and I replace it with the C for the exact same reason.

This pretty much sums it up. 3-5-7 F'ers all look the same now and the size difference isn't even all that different. I'm honestly more of a fan of the old e9x 3s vs this new design. I mean there's nothing wrong with it, but loses some of the aggressiveness. Maybe when they offer the MTech kit, it'll look better and be able to distinguish itself from the others in the F series.

I totally agree with what you said. I did test drive the 5 series few months back and I'm really surprise as to how it rides. Might be thinking of upgrading soon. It's hard deciding between the E and the F10.

+10000

The fronts on all levels of sedans look identical! I'd call myself a car guy, and find it hard to tell which is which. Not only that but the front face (not to offend anyone) looks a bit.. 'downs-y'

They need to bring back the e46 designer for the 1/3 series, e39 designer for the 5/7 series. because those were the best looking bmw's by far. The new 3's look almost like an m3 and the 5's look like 7's.

Now days all models look alike, just the length and space changes.
