Having fun installing WIS

I am having a great time installing Wis on my computer !.

I bought the 6 CD pack from on Ebay from Ireland . The installation instructions are confusing as they are for Vista or an old version of XP. I have been instructed by the seller " this is why you have to use both sets of instructions". Typical, ha ha !! It's another Irish joke.

I can't install on my Win 7 64 bit as I am told they are incompatable.

My superseded XP Dell gave up the ghost yesterday so I asked my daughter to bring over her unused Dell XP which also failed today.

One of these days I will own an operating workshop manual pertaining to my W204.

PS. The MB OEM Wis 204 CD's are not available here in Aust. or in the USA.

Buy another hard drive for your computer and install your old version of windows on it. If you want to run old software then boot off windows xp drive.

I've decided to use VMWare on my 64 bit Windows 7 computer. Makes everything easier when running a virtual Windows XP machine. I know some did install WIS on W7 but it isn't equally simple as on an XP computer (real or virtual).

If you think WIS is hard to install then you should never ever attempt to install Star Diagnosis Xentry because it will put you in the insane asylum. I know it has put me on the brink (and I managed WIS/EPC without any problems...)
