Has anyone purchased the Mercedes-Benz Media Interface Plus yet?

I am interested in purchasing this device I think its around $350(US).

It adds bluetooth audio streaming such as pandora etc to the car as well as SMS text reading on display with emails. Pretty nefty upgrade features.

Want to know if anyone bought this and found it to be a good upgrade. Thanks!

Heres like to MBUSA.COM site to read more about it: http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servic...es?embed=false

I've got a Droid X and I can play Pandora, my tunes, and receive and make calls by simply plugging it into the resceptacle in the glove box. Just wish I could transfer my contacts. For $350 I'll figure it out or look it up on my X and hit dial.

E - your contacts should sync right up. Did you search around?

I do not think you need to drop the $350 on the interface....

You can steam pandora, etc, by purchasing a $50 A2DP Bluetooth adapter and plugging it into your Aux Input in your glove box. I just did a write-up about this:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...g-options.html

Reading SMS is cool, but I can do that from my phone also, and when mated to this Music Gateway, all audio that usually comes out of your phones speaker will come out of your car speakers.

Save your money.

Edit: Also, yes, transferring contacts is doable without ANY adapter. Search. Some phones are a pain, but I don't think we've ever seen a confirmed case of one not working at all. (And just to be clear: you can transfer contacts and make/place calls without having to plug your phone into the Aux input in the glovebox. That's all bluetooth)
