Welcome!
Whew, looks like your wheels are gloss black, i.e. you painted them vs Plasti-Dipped them! Lord knows where this thread would've gone if it were the latter.

Question, is that 35% tint or is it darker? My car is de-chromed just like yours (window trim, lower strips, badge) and I don't want the tint to be too dark. I'm not going for the murdah'd look.

I'm liking your car! I'm going for a similar look.

I don't really care for your wheels, though. Matte black wheels on a gloss black car just look dirty to me.

Also, what method did you use to black out the window trim? Tape? Vinyl? Plasti-dip? Paint? Just wondering how different people approach blacking out the window trim.

Thanks guys...

Yes those are the H&R Supersports Springs with 5mm rear spring pads.

I had my buddy painted the stock 17" wheels matte black with a light sheen clear coat on it. Hes an experience auto painter and cant pass it up when he only charged $200 to do the whole thing! We eventually will be upgrading to 19s, but these will do for now as were short on budget.

As far as tint goes, it came with the car when we got it, but I know a lot about tint, and these seems to definately be 35% tint. The visor windshield tint is 20%. By next summer, I want to get the car retinted to 20%.

I got the tail light trim off ebay and it came chromed.. I painted it black, and also painted the front grill black as well... Left the chrome strips alone tho.

The chrome door trims were all vinyled by a sign shop locally. I knew the guy, so he hooked it up and it turned out great!

Anyways, thanks for the nice comments.. I got many more things I want to do to this car.. Just savin up that $ and doing one thing at a time! lol.

No hatin' here. I just don't prefer monochromatic anything, e.g. white wheels on a white car with a white grille. For black, because the tires are also dark and you add tint, it just looks like one big black mass coming at you. Agree that it's def an aggressive look.

Wait a sec, I think I saw this car but with a woman driving it down in PDX last week. She turned onto Greely and went up over Swan island, towards the Adidas hq. Was that the same car?

There's no haters here guys. Just ppl giving their input/opinions. I like that, cause then it either gives you a New idea to change the look for the better, OR keep the look you already have if ur happy with it. Simple as that. Everyone has their own taste in cars..

As for the foglight bezel, i did not even think about painting that! so thanks for that idea. Imma have to take a second look later and try and picture it black. And if it looks good, im going for it.

I'm from the Couv but live in Columbia, SC. I don't miss it. Too expensive there these days. Keep up the good work.

What color is ur car blue00r6? If u want to see it closer in person to be positive that u wanna lower it, lemme know and u could always come to Vancouver and meet somewhere so u can check it out. That's why were all members here. To help each other out. Also, if u order the springs, get the 5mm rear spring pads at the dealer in downtown pdx. It will level the car out evenly. Its only $7 a piece and u just need two of them for the rear.

As for the other guys, thanks again for the welcome.

Apparently us PDXers have no imagination when it comes to cars. Mine's black as well. When I get it tinted, we'll really be triplets. Although, Blue, you gotta de-chrome the trim.
