Vehicle Data Info
I was playing around the vehicle data info window and noticed under vehicle info it said: W204 09
If the car should be the 2010 model shouldn't that say 10 instead 09?

Vehicle Data can be obtained from the vehicles computer by closing door, selecting key to first position,& pushing phone answer & OK button together.
Then choose Vehicle Data & the vehicle amps & volts are displayed, This could possibly be useful if one is experiencing electrical problems.By scrolling down the list Vin & Engine numbers are also displayed

Simple - that's the year of manufacture, for instance my 2010 C300 was manufactured in August of 2009. Sometimes the information as to month is on the ID decal on the door frame, depending on the importing country's identification requirements. In Mexico, even the import date is required on the original customer invoice.
However, because of several production lines for the W204, for critical engine or electrical parts, the VIN is a safer way to identify your vehicle. In the brake line o-ring recall, the need for the repair was determined by the VIN. I called my MB dealer with my VIN, and they told me my C300 was subject to the recall.

Agreed... Its a known fact that they begin manufacturing a certain model year vehicle (for example a 2010 model) during the previous year (during 2009).
You can look at your VIN # and the 10th digit signifies the model year. My guess is for a 2010 model year, the VIN #'s 10th digit will be a ZERO.
