Mesh Grill replacement remove bumper cover definitive awnser
Before flaming me please note that I have searched! But I find only a couple of people that claim they were able to replace the mesh without removing the bumper cover. I spoke to a dealer earlier who says if its a sport (mine is) then you must take off the cover. If it is a luxury then you don't have to remove the cover.
So does anyone know for sure? I would rather not take off the cover. I know i can do it myself and get through it allright. But I don't want to risk breaking anything in the cover then be pissed. The covers are pretty flimsy themselves.
Dealer wants $180 labor plus the part to do.

You HAVE TO pull off the bumper. When you un-do all the bolts surrounding the bumper it pulls off easy. There is nothing to worry about. It not flimsy and nothing can break.
disclaimer: i am not resposible for anything you may break during installation lol

It's a lot easier and you will have more room to work around it if your remove the bumper.
If your not comfortable in doing it yourself you can bring to a local body shop who may charge less than 180 bucks for labor. It's no more than an hours worth of work if you have the right tools and a lifter would be an added bonus.
