Thank you for answering my questions. I will place the order tonight. If I like the results, I will order 2 more kits

I just called MB and their parts advisor informed me that the OEM Xenon bulbs are 55w. Is that true?

yup, oem bi-xenons are 55W. 55W will have slightly more lumen, but at the expense of burning hotter and shorter lifespan. Color is is independent though.

You sure about that? My osrams that I got stock with mine say 35w. Oh so interesting story. Opened up the housings yesterday and got em painted. When we looked inside the projector housing there were two metal prongs that were melted. No idea how or why. But I think the metal is a connecting piece for the projector shrouds. Not sure if I should be concerned.

From what I understood, OEM bi-xenons are 55W last I checked.

I think I'll double check. From what I remember I'm pretty sure they're 35 but I'll see if I'm wrong. In comparison to a nonp2 car with an HID kit, my car's lights are dimmer...so we'll see

Personally, I've seen OEM bi-xenons and I think my HID kits are brighter.

Yeah, I'm like 99& sure that the OEM's are 35w. Mike, no more 55w? Is that permanent or temporary. I was actually thinking about getting a pair in 6000k and a 2 sets of 6000k LEDs to change the look of my car... Darn it...

Well, We can custom make 55w kits (as well as any color bulb), but issues with that is it takes time as I'd need to work it into my next production run and with regards to warranty, as they are custom made, we don't stock replacement parts on hand. You're still covered by warranty, but it will take longer to get replacement made.

I would order a 55w 5000k hid and 2 pair 5000k led eyebrow lights if you had the 55w kit. How long would it take to get if I ordered now?

You just missed our November shipping cycle. It'd be end of December for next cycle.

Well that sucks. You should always have some on hand for difficult customers like me
I was hoping to get some before I drive out of town for thanksgiving. Now bot sure where to go get some. I am sure I will still get the eyebrow lights from you though. Will a 55w 5000k still match your 5000k led?

55W vs 35W should effect lumen, not kelvin. Color should be the same regardless. Just keep in mind, HID kelvin rating are a range, not a precise point like LEDs are. Given that, cheaper HID kits might have a broader range (ie 5000K-6000K) while higher quality HIDs can tighten up that range. The two issues you run into is color matching between left and right side might not be exact and when trying to match to other lights, one kit that's advertised at 5000K might really be 5000K-6000K while another kit that's advertised at 5000K might really be 4300K-5000K.

Michael,

I have a couple of questions for you...
1. Would your 5000k eyebrow lights best match a 55w 4500k or 5000k kit? What color are your leds closest to? And would your eyebrows a 55w 4500k kit better match the LED DRLs?

2. If I ordered 2 pairs of eyebrow lights right now, how long would it take to get to 22304 (Virginia)?

Thank you again for your help.

Well, can't really comment on that because not sure of characteristics of other people's HID kit (unless you're talking of a custom order from me), but generally speaking, you want to keep with the 5000K kit.

It'll take 3-4 business days to arrive in Virginia.
