Does MB send a welcome gift?
I'm in the wrong forum... but when I got my 2011 C63AMG 2 months ago, I got in the mail:
1. book and DVD about AMG history and models
2. $100 saks card
3. free AMG driving academy session ($1500 value).
i don't think this is dealer dependent, since I haggled $8600 off sticker. the dealer just gave me a keychain. i think AMG is trying to compete with porsche which also gives you free driving course (i believe they still do).

I received a small square chromed MB clock .Just changed the battery after 3 1/2 years. Ive glued it to my wifes side of the dash !
Oh boy I bet that went far.
Last I was in Saks was valentines day and bought some bath accoutrements for Mrs. Encoder. Shower gel, bath oil, and lotion. Had her wrap 'em all up all nice.
Rings it up. $298. Hoooooooollllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyy ****.
Now, I'm not a cheapskate and this brand is what she asked for and I went ahead with the purchase. But i thought I was getting away easy this year when I asked her what she wanted. Shower Gel? Like they sell at Walgreens? But go to Saks for their French stuff? Sweet. No problem. Probably $20, right? Mayyyybe $50? Nope. $98. Lesson learned.

I didn't get anything but my wife got a free dinner, she's going tonight. The sales guy just picked her up and said he knows a great place?!?!?
I don't know but I'm thinking something isn't right.

Two keychains with the dealer's address on the back and "Mercedes Benz of.." in the front (later, while looking through the boutique I found they sell them for around 15 bucks), and a welcome letter with a 10 or 20% off service, part or accessory coupon (again from the dealer).
There are three MB dealerships in Central Florida, two of them owned by Autonation.
Both Autonation ones always have free drinks / coffee / water, and one or more the following: fresh baked cookies (love them!), Chex Mix or mini-cookie bags, bite-size deli sandwiches / croissants / bagels with cream cheese. Their water bottles are branded ("Mercedes Benz of..."). I've only been to the third MB dealership once, and I don't recall what they had (in addition to bottled water).
Edit: Mine was a CPO
