W204 COMAND software update without DAS
hi~guys
i bought a Update CD from dealer and i would like to update my COMAND
so can i update the COMAND software without DAS?in engineering menu i saw the update but i am sure this function work or not ?

Is that map update or a COMAND system update? The two are different.
OK, I gotta ask. If you bought the CD from the dealer, why didn't the dealer install the software?

DAS = Diagnostic Assistance System.
It is the software component of the STAR disagnostic multiplexer.

Ps. And I too am curious if the COMAND OS can be updated w/o needing STAR to set a code. There are update routines in COMAND, but it may be for a maps update only.
