Philips Crystal Vision in fogs, great match! (pics)
After only three days in transit from Hong Kong they arrived in my mailbox, the Philips Crystal Vision H7, at first I wanted Diamond Vision but after seeing them IRL I quickly changed my mind, they were just too blue.
The CV are a perfect match to the stock BiXenons.
Drove down to work and fitted them right away, unfortunately I forgot to bring the camera so I snapped some crappy cell phone pics instead:
Crystal vision on the cars right fog, stock on the left.
Now I am waiting for ctgilles LED:s to match up the xenons even further, hopefully they wont turn too blue on me ..

^ can you elaborate on that please... it's troubling to hear a mb tech saying that.
i assumed it would be as simple as jacking it up, going under... removing the old bulbs and installing the new ones.

Well I cant say it was hard, just a bit tricky, you need to:
Remove the central cover under the engine, 8mm hex
remove the front cover under the bumper 8mm hex
Unplug connectors to fogs,
use a small pliers to twist the light socket 45 degrees counter clockwise, just using hands didnt work for me, and the left side is pretty crowded with the washer fluid tank etc.
Install in reverse order, make sure the light socket is correctly secured or water will enter.

Sorry I don't know the logistics so that may be a very stupid question. I thought all I would have to do would be to take the mesh out using a torx screwdriver, unplug and then replug...

Thanks. That's one of the first things I will be doing when the car comes. Along with changing the eyelids to LEDs.
I'm glad I brought the CVs over the DVs. How much did you pay inc delivery?

You should also be able to access it through a combination of the front and the wheel well. I've seen multiple shops access it that way when installing HID fogs on the 204.

Yes, removing the front wheels and loosening the front part of the inner wheel well covering will also get you there, will probably be a bit easier to remove the buld holder this way.

I have an '08 C300 Avantgarde Sport, Japan specs. I'm not sure why it's different, but I simply took out 3 screws, removed the mesh, removed/replaced the bulbs (from behind) and reinstalled. Took about 10 mins. total for both sides.
Unfortunately, I used the 4000k Philips. I think the 4300k or 5000k are a better match. (The 4000k were on sale, though, so not a big deal.)
