It doesnt work. You have to export your contacts to vcard or csv file and use a laptop or other device to send via bluetooth. I used my macbook.

The bluetooth passcode is 62872, just in case you dont have it.

Hi! I've been lurking here since I got my 2011 C-Class about two and a half weeks ago so this is my first post! I was able to get my iPhone contacts into my C300 by taking out the microsim from my iPhone, putting into my old Motorola V3 using a microsim adapter, then connecting the V3 via bluetooth to the C300 and transferred the contacts one-by-one. I'm back to using my iPhone 4 and the phonebook in my C300 works like a charm! I don't have the multimedia package either.

This post was great. I've had my C Since Nov 07 and besides the one-by-one method from another phone- I was not able to load my iPhone contacts. I read this and searched for the apps listed above. The one I used was Contacts Air Backup for $.99. Amazingly simple and I loaded 160 contacts at one time. Worked Perfectly.

NVM I figure out a easier way on the MacBook Pro...

Sync all your contacts to your Address book.
Select all your contacts
File
Export vCard - Save it to your destop
Go to your BlueTooth and SEND FILE
Then after this it's all common sense.....

Too bad I don't have a Mac book!! Dang it!!! I was hoping the new app Celeste (jailbroken app) would do it which it's suppose to. But idk where to put my vcards (within the phone) to actually send them.

I converted all my contacts to cards now just need a way to get them on to the phone to transfer. Ifile has not yet been updated to work with celeste, but when it is that'll be my best bet.

If you have Comand APS you will have another way to do it. Simply copy the file with the vcards into a memory card and insert it to the PCMCIA slot. Then go to the TEL menu and select IMPORT CONTACTS. That's it.

I was able to upload them one at a time from my iPhone. I don't have a MacBook at this time nor an older phone.

The phone HAS to be jail broken.

Downloaded and paid $5 for AirBlue sharing from Cydia

This creates another option to share each contact via Bluetooth.

I don't have many friends (lol) so I just uploaded my most frequents.

About 20 took me 8 mins or so.

Mercedes C220
Just picked up this thread and found it really useful. This is how I worked around the problem.

I have a Mercedes C220 (2009) without the audio package so did this based on advice from you guys:
1) Export the required contacts from your iPhone using an app like Contacts Tool (£0.69).
2) Export as a "vCard" as this is the format that your car reads.
3) Transfer to a laptop (I did this using the in-app Dropbox transfer but you can use email).
4) Link up your car to Bluetooth function on laptop using standard pairing protocols.
5) Set your car to receive business cards.
6) Right click the vCard on your laptop and transfer via Bluetooth to your car.
7) Files then transfer in a few seconds.

Hope this helps other people in the future.

fyi reason why iphone contacts dont import is because some cars download contacts automatically after you pair so in that case iphone would work fine but mercedes contact transfer is intiated through the phone and car and apple proprietary garbage doesnt allow namecard transfer via phone unlike android and every other phone in this world that does let you.
