Comand "mouse" refusing to read rotation input.

Yesterday I was driving and noticed the mouse (or dial), wouldn't accept any input when I rotated the thing. The up, down, side to side and diagonal worked fine but not the spinning. Anyone ever have this problem? Thanks in advance.

Yup. My daughters broke mine when fighting over which station to listen to! They spun it too hard and it stopped working. I told the dealership it just stopped working and they fixed it under warranty...

Sure. Mine has done this a time or two during startup but cured itself with no further action.

Still no worky, I've got daughters too so that must be the culprit I'm pretty sure it's a failed dial.... Yay for CPO

Mine was working fine this morn when putting in directions, then about 20min later the spin input did not respond. the direction toggle works fine also pressing it works but the spinning, negative. I cut the car off for abt 10 sec, no joy. Just waiting now to see if it corrects itself.

Happen to me and never returned to its normal functionality. Dealership replaced under warranty. They told me that's happens a lot with the c class. I only had 37,000 on the car when it happen so I use it a lot less. They told me it short circuits. Hope that helps

I can't understand why they wouldn't make a small team to go over parts revisions. When there is a known product fault the manufacture should fix it so when i pay them to have it replaced, I get the corrected one...

Same thing happened to mine. Had to take it to RBM anyways so they updated it with the new software and said that fixed the problem. All under warranty

Well unfortunately, i am the 2nd owner of my c350 so there is no warrantee from the dealer other than power train. I am going to call anyway and see if they replace that for me. I really don't feel like paying the, $400+ for any work and I just had my "B" service done... and even though this is off topic, I keep asking the dealer abt updated software and it's like I'm talking to a bunch of idiots b/c they have no idea that there is on or that you can even update anything other than the maps !
