Just wondering if anyone that has hard wired there radar detectors in there c300 could give me how to or tips, or if you know someone in the Houston tx area that you could recommend to me.. Thanks

There are numerous 12V sources in the rear view mirror assembly, or simply tuck the hardwire V1 cable into the headliner, run down the A pillar and and use a "add-a-circuit" to tap into the fuse box.
To see how to run the wire, watch our Microphone Installation Video at the bottom of our videos page. Although it is not a radar detector wire (mic wire instead), it is the same job.
It is an easy do it yourself job!

So, you are recommending running that wire across the curtain bag at the top of the a-post so that it cannot deploy properly in a crash.

Maybe you should take a look at my photos showing how to properly connect a V-1 that I posted three years+ ago.

Respectfully, I don't think you have not looked at the video or read what I said. There are numerous 12V wires right in the rear view mirror overhead console (NO AIR BAG). However, some people do not have meters handy and that may be more difficult for them. So I offered the more common technique of an A-Pillar weatherstrip install. Also, if you watch the video, the wire tucked into the weatherstrip has no effect on the A pillar airbag. It is a very common installation technique.
In fact, on my S55, the previous owner installed it that way and I never changed it. I was T-boned and the A pillar (and most of the rest of the airbags) deployed properly.

I have not seen your posts regarding this. If you contributed that, I commend you. However, we contribute many posts a day on electronics matters. I was simply offering a couple of proven methods that are commonly used in a Mercedes (since we are Mercedes specialists, and I am a Mercedes fiber engineer)

In answering a query regarding hardwiring for a V-1 in a W204, you referred him to your microphone wiring install which shows the wire being pressed into the separation between the A-post cover and the panel above the door. That is right across the curtain bag. Pull off the A-post cover and look for your self.

BTW, when hardwiring my V-1 in 2007, I spent some time with my Fluke meter trying to find switched 12V in the mirror assembly with no success.

I attempted to find that post using the search function with zero success.

There is about a 3/4 overlap that we do not exceed at the top of the A pillar cover. In any event, even if someone did push it even farther down (which would actually be hard to do, but not impossible), the wire is not fixed, glued or fastened in any way and would be pushed readily out of the way. Remember the airbag blows at a tremendous rate and destroys about anything in its path (like my black eye....lol)
The overhead light timing circuit has a delayed ignition (15g) 12v and there is a straight circuit 15 too (powers mirror and homelink). I could pull the schematic and post it to help everyone if I have time tomorrow.

Just picked up my new C350 coupe. Would like to hard wire my Escort 8500x50 but there is no passenger compartment fuse box. Is it possible to access power in rvmirror?
