I'll be around. I just need an SUV for now. I am getting an ML 350/500 or an X3 3.0 until I am done with my house. I will be modding the SUV too. I still want to have fun. After that I am shooting for a C63 or Panamera. Who knows? My Girlfriend wants a GLK, so I think I will always have a Mercedes close by.

i would jump on the new cls > the panamera although a panamera is probably the only porsche i'd ever consider driving.
As far as SUVs go between a ML and a GLK you'll be a TON happier with a ML or GL. if you're gonna mod a SUV - X6 *hint hint*

I am only getting an ML or X3 as a work vehicle for hauling stuff. I plan to have fun with it though. My GF likes the GLK and it would be hers. It is very car-like and that is the appeal. The GL is not car-like at all.
I agree the CLS is a fine car, but I have been in love with the Panamera since the day I first saw one.

Thanks Mike. You definitely have my respect as well. I'll be around though. I like the Mercedes products too much. I actually sold my car back to the dealership. My salesman bought it from me without looking at it; Carlsson exhaust and all. They put it in a side showroom with a Panamera.
It's still for sale. Check out the link:

I would get the ML 350. I have that car, amazing, don't really like BMW's - felt the X3 was kinda "cheap" too. Also, I think the ML just came out with a refresh and new more efficient engines. Of course, this also means that if you don't mind a slightly dated body style, you could pickup a left-over for a steal!

Ummm, if that ain't a sign about what you're supposed to get next, I don't know what is!!!
All kidding aside, an ML can indeed be tastefully modded. Someone here at work has a black one with Vossens that looks very clean. One thing I don't understand is why MB only tinted "half" the tail lights (the portion you see looking from the side). Looks strange to me...
Good luck with the new ride, house, etc. I remember talking VDubs early on when I first got my C...
