No need, the Audio20 provides high quality low distortion output from the speaker leads. All internal Audio20 signal path is already digital, has its own internal parametric equalizer.

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...udio-20-a.html

Just pull the signal off the right rear speaker, there is a 12 volt line sufficient for most needs (up to around 600 watts RMS) in the right side of the trunk.

A sound processor would turn the already digitally-processed analog signal into digital, and then back into analog, which just degrades the quality. What for?

Thank you Bill!
I brought my car to a local audio store to get my Subs install and the guy there told me this car needs a Sound Processor or it will sound like **** with the subs. I am new to this so I have no idea if I really need it or not, but glad I can save my money.

If the installation is properly done, the phase set correctly (0 or 180 degrees) and the crossover set to a proper point (lo-pass maybe at 150 Hz) with a filter to prevent excursion (high-pass at 25 to 30 Hz, most recordings have nothing below this frequency), the signal out of the Audio20 should be just fine.

If the sound is not what you expected, then let these guys put in the signal processor (like the JL audio Clean Sweep) and prove it will be worth the $$$$ you will invest.

your subs will sound fine, its your high ends u will have to tweak. Read the aftermarket audio thread, it has lots of info. I added 2 amps, and I did a DSP because I wasnt happy w my highends, but it wasnt terrible without it either.
