The lease on my 2008 C300 4matic is coming due and I just ordered the 2012 C350 4matic (sedan) to replace it. Can't wait, car is at the Halifax port and should be here in 2-3 weeks!

Congratulations! Did you get the lighting package as well? I think you will really feel the difference in power going from a C300 to a C350.

Thanks - the lighting package is standard on the Canadian version of the C350.

As far as I know it has every option available other than the Premium Rear seating Package which includes Door-integrated roller blinds for rear side windows and Rear window sunshade.

What is the engine output for your new C350?

268 HP or 302 HP?

 

If it's a 2012, it should have 302 HP

I noticed that the US version of the C350 comes with a standard rear spoiler - anyone know if the Canadian version of the C350 also includes the rear spoiler? I need to ask my dealer ... curious to know.

The C350 sedan only comes 4matic in Canada .... that's what I ordered

 

The ordering guide for the US Version show the trunk spoiler as N/A - Not available. Also the order sheet for my US C350 doesn't show it as a std feature.

I picked my MY2012 C350 up 2 weeks ago and it came standard with a spoiler.

Speaking of lane keeping assist (and this won't cheer you up much, sorry), just recently one of the major auto mags and I can't locate it just now, tested three new models with this feature. Mercedes, Lexus and I've forgotten the third one. All three had one thing in common which was it didn't work worth a damn.

It seems that they all rely on lane stripes to stay between and if the stripes were worn (no square corners) or dirty or obscured by debris, the car wandered all over the place and one of the test cars turned and headed for the ditch before the driver intervened.

Reminds me of when MB was demonstrating for the press the then new W221 automatic hands-off radar braking inside a big metal building. This was filmed and is likely on YouTube. Three car rear-ender with heavy damage.

How did you decide on Diamond White vs. Arctic White? Diamond is a $1500 option in the states. Doesn't seem worth it.

 

I already have a 2008 C300 in calcite white and saw a 2011 E350 in Diamond white (same colour to be used in C Class) and just loved it. The Diamond white is $890 in Canada.

 

I really didn't care for the Driving Assistance Package. I would have had to order a car without that option as there were no incoming cars arriving in the first batch with Diamond White and Premium Package. The dealer offered to get me out of my current lease (3 months remaining) at no cost and reduce the lease rate by 0.75% if I took possession before the lease ended - I believe the program offered by MB Canada is called the "pull away" program. The option was $800 but the overall savings was greater when you factored the lower lease rate.

Yeah went with black with the black colour trim for the interior. Calcite white on the outside.

 

It's finally here!!! Just got the call from the dealer and I pick her up on Friday ... I'll post some pics.
