Panic Red Screen: Parking Brake On
I got the red screen of death today telling me my parking brake was one. I had just pulled out of a parking space. I instinctively pull the parking brake lever with my left hand and no "clunk" release sound. I quickly realize that my parking brake is not on. This goes on for another block or so and then goes away.

The switch is very sensitive. The pedal can be down just enough to set the warning, but not to a click where it would release. I bet had you pulled up on the pedal and not just the brake lever it would have turned off instantly. I think the tension relies on the pedal being pushed down farther and having more snap when you pull the lever.
