Gee you got a good deal with the redrilling. Check out what they said in Taiwan.

I found below wheels which might meet your demand but the centerbore are all 57.1. We can only redrill the wheels in U.S. The overall budget to rework the wheel is around USD500 (redrill and re-powdercoat).

Don't suppose you would know if they have a set of V710 in hyper/super silver 18 x 8.5, 5 x 112, ET45, centerbore 66.6mm in stock would you?

Sentosa, who quoted you those prices? Have you tried dealing directly with VMR? I can give you a contact if you'd like..I'm sure they can ship to Taiwan.

Sorry C300 if I confused you. That was VMR main office in Taiwan quoting me to have the wheels redrilled in the US to send to me in Australia. Those other figures were supposedly stock that they had in their California operation. All those wheels that they showed in stock in California had 57.1mm bores. And that is the reason you have to get your bores redrilled cause they produce very few wheels with 66.6mm bores. They are producing some in November but they will be 9.5in wide. However i did tell them that because of that policy they are missing out on a lot of sales both in the US and Australia in the Mercedes and Audi camps. So who knows. Keep your fingers crossed.

Unfortunately, this is the convoluted way we have to do things in Australia to get these wheels as there is no distributor here.

C300kid,

So what was the total cost of the wheels, drilling, bolts, shipping and anything else that might have been forgotten?

The wheels were going to cost USD799, shipping was USD415 and the drilling etc was going to be USD500 giving a grand total of USD1714. But they would discount that to USD1600.

Wouldn't mind paying for wheels and shipping but the 500 for drilling put it way out. And our dollar has just dropped below parity making it about 10% more at the moment.

18x9.5 ET50 5x112 (2 @ $225 = $450)
re-drill (4 @ $25 = $100)
shipping ($99)

Total = $1,049 for my staggered setup, re-drilled to 66.6, and shipped.

(Of course it would be $50 less, or $999, for the 8.5s all around.

Also, Vex Motorsports in Santa Clara, CA sells them in 66.6, so no extra for re-drilling, but they told me December at the earliest (this is for gunmetal, other finishes may be available sooner).

That would be neat if you could do that. Then I could deal direct with them.

Bumping this up. Im looking to get the v718's. Just to clarify, the center bore needs to be 66.6? 57.1 will not work? Also, what are you guys doing about the TPMS sensors? Do you take them out of the stock wheels?

Correct. You will need to bore them out to 66.6. You can either switch your TPMS sensors over to the new wheels or buy a new set if you plan on switching your wheels back and forth.

If I wanted to purchase new tpms sensors, where do I get those? Would I need to program it to work?
