Members with VMR Wheels
I'm determined to make this work, and there's so much conflicting information on this forum...lots of people claiming they'll never fit due to the long hubs of the W204, others claiming the W204 does not have the hub problem of previous MBs, and even some members that actually have VMRs on their 204s currently.
Has there ever been a definitive answer?
If anyone is interested, I plan on ordering one wheel from VMR and test fitting it...I'll let you all know how it works out.
Also, no flaming for wanting a BMW wheel on my Mercedes haha, I'm just bored with all the "AMG style" wheels everyone and their sister (and me currently) have on these cars. They look good, I just want to be a little more unique.

Just sent you a message.
I bought my VMR's originally for my Passat almost 9 years ago, luckily it fits my C and had it on my car for 4 years now with no issues.
I really love the timeless classic look, which looks similar to a set of BBS I had previously, which goes so well on German cars.
Here's a really old pic:

I'm sticking with 18s because I just bought new tires not long ago, but I'm trying to decide between 18x8.5 all around, or staggered with 18x9.5 in the rear.
Thanks for the PM!

I ordered a wheel in 18x8.5 with an offset of 45 and a 66.6mm centerbore. With those specs, I assume no re-drilling or hub rings will be necessary, correct? The specs are spot on for the w204. The only possible complication that VMR is aware of are the extra long hubs of MBs, which stick through the centerbore of the wheels on some models. Since neither of you had that problem, I'm being optimistic.

Could always spacer those suckers out a little to clear. I agree that those look really sharp. What did you have to get drilled out and clearanced?

Test fit it in the rear and take pictures please! I've been wanting V710's or V701's, and I wanted to see what an 8.5" ET45 wheel looks like in the back.

Our cars will look like twins haha. We have the same car, same color, similar grille, and now maybe the same wheels.

Will do sir...and if the wheel fits (and I expect it to) I'll immediately order the other 3 and have them all mounted asap. I'll send lots of pics your way.

I just looked on their site, and I see 9.5" wheels that seem like they have the correct bore and offset. I'm pretty sure I didn't see those a few months ago!

Those wheels will fit no problem, the hub length is in reference to the high offset of the wheel needed on a w204 Id bet, the hub itself on our cars is exactly the same as most other MBs, I have many sets of wheels and they fit on My previous C, CLK and S class just the same. The hubcentric nature of the german cars is just that, the center of the hub has the bubble that anchors the wheel and the bolts hug them in. Many diff aftermarket wheels need diff length bolts, and also most need cone head bolts, stock wheels use acorn heads and will work sometimes, but a tight fit is what u want so spend a couple bucks and use teh right bolts. All a ring adapter does is create a spacer like situation that grabs the center of the hub to anchor the wheel better, makes a huge difference in ride, hence the name hubcentric adapter. I ran non hubcentrics for a few days from an audi on my 08 and they rode like crap, they had vibrations but were perfect balance and like glass on the audi, go figure

Interesting. But with these wheels having a 66.6mm centerbore, which fits the W204, hubcentric rings would be pointless, correct?

correct. 66.6mm centerbore means they are hubcentric to a MB hub. If it was bigger like the above poster's bore u would need an adapter ring. Like I said those wheels will fit no problem, just like OEM's. U will have no problems, just get the right bolts like I said earlier. W204 uses 14x1.5mm, I beleive stock is like 27mm, or something real close, but is acorn head. The longest I have used are 40mm for my brabus wheels that are really thick, ususally a 33mm is what I use on all my other sets. all my aftermarket wheels use cone head bolts, just check teh seats when u get them or ask the manufacturer and order them too so u can mount right away. sucks waiting for bolts

Your car looks amazing as well! I initially went to VMR because I love the VB3s, but I ended up going with the V710s in gunmetal. I've seen the V710s on a w204, but it was silver with silver wheels. I can't wait to see the gunmetal on my black car.

@aowhaus your car looks fabulous with the VB3's in silver which is what I am considering as well. What size tyres are you running on those 8.5's?
NB; Just measured the length of hub and it is less than 9mm, at least on the wagon. There is no hub cover.

I'm not sure how or where some of the members who have VMR which need modifications to fit got their wheels but I installed a set on my gf's car with ZERO problems. 18x8.5 +45 all around on 225/40/18 Nitto Invo's. These wheels were designed specifically for European cars.

It appears there aren't any distributors in Australia so if I want a set I am going to have to source them internationally.
VMR in TW say they have none in stock with a 66.6mm centerbore, but mention they are only going to produce them in 9.5" in November.

The hub length is in reference to our high offsets in our w204s. As long as the centerbore 66.6mm and the centering is 112x5 and the offset is right they will work. Dont let these guys confuse you with hub lengths and what not. Just find the specs we need for w204s and get them

@knightmare, where did you source your set from and what model were they. So long as the centerbore is 66.6 nobody should have a problem IMO.

I don't think they stock many 66.6 centerbore wheels, but they're willing to re-drill them for $25 per wheel. I ended up ordering 18x9.5 ET50 for the rears and had them re-drilled to 66.6. I'll post pics when they're on.
