Is there another dealer in your area that you can visit?
I think it is well past time to contact MB customer service in what ever country you are in.Start jumping up & down a little to get some action.
Insist that you go with the MB mechanic for a test drive & show him first hand what the problem is.
Good luck & let us know how you go.
the 1st time, because it does not happen every time but intermintely, they said that it was the dust from the brakes.
The second time (2) people from the dealership heard the noise but when the machanice got the car the noise stopped.
The 3rd time they fixed something that was 'bend'.
The 4th time I got a video/audio so they replaced a part. The noise started again 2 weeks later. I took it back today and they noise is not there when I got to the dealership.
I called MB of USA to ask if I had a lemon, because when I call the dealership and I asked to speak with my 'advisor' and he was not there, I then asked for the manager and I was tol dto call the 1-800 4mercedes if I think the car is a lemon, so I did.
When I called MB of USA the woman on on the phone practically told me that it was 'my fault' for not driving the car 'properly' i guess, and it is normal to hear sounds like that....what a joke. I have driven cars for over 30 years and never heard that sound. The car has only 8,600 miles and I noticed the noise few months after i got the car.

I was surprised that MB rep called me. I told her that I will have to pay my own money and take the car to an outside mechanic to see if they can find the reason for the squeal/grinding noise when I put the car in drive and it rolls at 5 to 20 m/h. They asked to me try another dealer and I agree to take it to the NYC dealership.
While I was there today to pick up the car (they could not hear the noise or find anything wrong) I checked the internet and I seen other people having the same or similar issue. Something about parking brake pins. I mention that and let the foremen see/hear my videos of the problem they asked to leave the car there for another day, which I did.
I have not logged on because I have been so frustrated with this and I had given up with anything about MB. Just wanted to say thanks again to all for your help but it has been very embarrassing going to events and people looking at your car squeaking and squealing like it is a 20 year old car...and I have drove 20 year old cars and never heard this .noise' before

I've brought it in 4 or 5 times, each time the sound would come back again.
Anyways I brought in some sound videos of the squeak, and I think today they finally fixed it because they said there was some kind of advisory notice that the clips on the e-brake are defective.

So have them replace the defective clips on the e-brake and the squeak should be gone.

Good luck, I know how annoying that noise can be!
