Reversing Camera no guide lines?
Hi everybody!
I'm new to the forum and Mercedes. I just picked up my C250 CDI yesterday, what a pleasure.
I have one quick question regarding the reversing camera, there are no guide lines visible in the picture. When I asked the sales guy he had no idea.
Is there a setting to activate them?

On my 08 there was an option in the Engineering menu for them. I don't have that car any longer and the 11 doesn't have MM so I can't look it up. They were pretty useless anyway as they were static.

08 and 09 should have the same version of Command if you kept yours up to date. Mine was updated twice in the time I had it and I had the version checked the sevice before I traded it in. The name of the option is very misleading and it was buried in a sub menu. And it was more of a distraction then useful.

2011 C300 Sport, P1, MM, Wood, Heated FS, DIY rearview camera.
My 2011 has green lines with one yellow line. I am not sure what it represents. Maybe it represents the car that anything outside of that is OK when backing out. Who knows. I have to set up some carton boxes to see/calibrate.

I was made an offer to good to refuse. Besides I didn't want to wait 6 months for aftermarket parts to start showing up for the 2012's I also like the looks of the 2011 more (except the interior).

Try to get Command updated at your next service and it should be there. Tell the SA that the Blue Tooth cuts out at random times, this is a known issue and the Command update will fix it. But a bit of a warning if you have any music on the HD it will be wiped during the update.
