Service 20 at just 14.4k miles?

Service 20 at just 14.4k miles?
"Service due" popped up on now my sister's C300 yesterday. I check it today and that's what I see.
Isn't it weird that Service 20 is already due? Service 20 is an AT fluid and filter change and done at 39,000 if you didn't know. Are there any sensors in the transmission that test the ATF quality/quantity and determine the unscheduled service?

From what i understand, Service 20 have to do once at 60,000km or 3 year. According to the service manual, service 20 is automatic transmision - oil and filter change. I believe u have to do it every 3 years 
In canada, it will cost us like $450 to do it in the dealer.
