Calcite White (C650) Touch-Up Paint

Has anyone with a Calcite White (I guess it's the same as Arctic White), color code C650 purchased touch-up paint from MB? I went to buy it at my local dealer and it was just one small bottle.

I'd previously bought touch-up paint for my old MB (silver) and it had two bottles- one was the silver paint, and the other was clear paint/coat.

Does anyone know if the C650 color does not need clear because it's not a metallic color, or will I need to buy it separately? The guy in parts could not answer my question (he was filling in for someone else).

FWIW, the price was considerably lower too (I'd bought the silver touch-up paint bottles for around $40, while the one bottle C650 is less than $20).

Funny mine was like that too. The silver touch up paint I got for the e class came with a clear coat bottle and the calcite/arctic white for the c class didn't. I think I got them at different dealers so idk.

Yeah, I bought a bottle of arctic white paint and didn't get clear with it. I wondered the same thing. I just bought a separate bottle of clear from the auto parts store.

All MBs are clearcoated, regardless of color, metallic or not.

I suggest you take a look at www.paintscratch.com

Surprising they don't sell the C650 touch paint bundled with clear coat like they did with the silver.

They sell the clearcoat separately, obviously for more profit. But, I've purchased the two-bottle touch up kits from the dealer before (not cheap anymore) and I haven't ever used the clear coat.

Last week I received my order from paintscratch.com which is two paint pens and one clear coat pen. I'm thinking that touching up small chips will work a lot better with pens than those little brushes which make it so difficult to get the right amount on the chip, ending up with bump of paint which has to be wet sanded flat.

My car is Barolo Red which means that the primer (naturally) is white so as to make chips much more visible. I have a few chips on the A-posts and a few on the doors from flying debris on the freeway. All white.

This and that.
Does anyone know if this (for white) can be purchased from Canadian tire? They have generic one's and that includes a couple shades of white. Anyone got one from here and knows which shade matches best with the white merc?

Mine is Calcit White and I've got some little scratches and dots already which I want to hide. I talked to a guy and he told me that there was some kind of pen (original Mercedes touch-up pen) which I can buy and use for hiding such scratches in the paint. Have you heard of such thing?

That's pretty much exactly what I am looking for. A touch up paint pen. They have those at Canadian Tire, but they were all generic for some brands. There wasn't any for Mercedes, so perhaps they can be bought online or something?

Hopefully someone who has an idea can chime in.

As I said before,

www.paintscratch.com

Buy a touch up pen (I did) and the color will be correct.
