AMG posing?
looking for a black hood emblem for the C, is there any kind of opposition to putting an AMG badge on a non-AMG car even if it has the AMG wheel package? Im assuming there is since even in the muscle car world its considered bad form.
Im just wanting a black emblem instead of the blue and not sure how to go about it.

Seriously, though, just get the AMG ornament. All people will see is indeed the darker color. If someone's really going to take a closer look to see if it's an AMG badge in order to hate, then they really do have too much time on their hands. The hood ornament is not as in your face as, say, a trunk badge or a 6.3 emblem on the side.
I wonder if VHT Nightshades would do the trick of just darkening your stock ornament?

There is a post down below from JBSpeed for emblems, take a look, there are many nice ones for you to choose from.
(edit - after looking, the black ones all reference AMG on those as well, really doesnt answer your question - top quality thiough)

i dont think you understand my question. so heres a recap.
I dont want a blue hood emblem.
the only black hood emblems say AMG on them
my car is not an AMG

they do make black and even carbon fiber emblems with the standard Merc logo. I think there is a sponsor on this forum that sells it. Try a search.
