How do I remove the trunk emblem?

How do I remove the trunk emblem?
Hey guys, Am i wrong to think that the trunk emblem will come off the same way as debadging? are there screws or bolts holding it on? I want to paint it black but I'm having trouble removing it, i looked through the DIY thread and it wasn't listed ( or i was just not looking in the right places). Thanks in advance!

You have to take the liner off the trunk lid to access the three pressure fittings that hold it on. Not to hard to do. Make sure you get all the chrome off the star before you prime and paint as neither the primer or the paint will stick to chrome.

take off the trunk liner and push the three pins out evenly until flush with the grommets. then pull gently out with fishing line from the outside. the grommets should be saved and kept in place with this method and save you a trip to the dealer.

I just got mine off of eBay, nothing special. Just search "w204 black mercedes emblem" and there should be a ton of results. Make sure you get one that is OEM.

Alternatively, you can just do it yourself, but I didn't feel like it.

I guess I just got lucky at the time and there were several auctions for one. Keep an eye on eBay, an auction will pop up.
