how to add new roads to the navigation map?

how to add new roads to the navigation map?
If I drive on a newly built road, GPS will show 'off map' and the route will be marked as dot line on the screen. After I go through the road, is there anyway to record this new road to the map? thanks.

I don't believe so. You would probably have to wait for the road to be added by the company who MB uses for Navigation software (Navteq). Then buy an update disc from them ($250ish).

You would have to update from DVDs they are expensive and the road might still be missing. I updated the maps twice on my 08 and my sisters whole development still was not there and she had lived there a year before I purchased the car which I had over three years. Just get a good aftermarket like Tom-Tom or Garmin which has lifetime updates much better than the OEM. And if you pay the AD for one update you could have bought two new aftermarket units.

Thank you guys. My house is 2 years old, the whole area is not on the map. If I have to buy the aftermarket GPS for a better map it'd be very sad. I bought the 2012 model, but this map is like in 2008.
