Does this damage require a new TPMS sensor?

Firestone is telling me I need a whole new sensor. Dealer (not conveniently located) says they need me to come in to assess. From this picture, am I right to think all I need are the component parts and that the sensor itself should be fine? Thanks everyone.

Before you let someplace like Firestone dismount your tire (scares me just to think about it), ask them if they can do it without damaging the wheel. They will of course say yes, and then when they bugger it up, they will have to replace it.

all you need is the stem, the sensor is fine. Just get it from MB it will be cheaper. There are 2 main peices, the sensor slides over the stem and can be replaces in sections if only one half is bad. Lucky for you the cheap half is bad, sensor inside tire is OK. They have to be very careful removing the nut

Thanks Jimmy, that is what I thought. Having trouble explaining the situation to the MB service adviser I spoke with to schedule the appointment. She wanted to know what my tire size is to order a tire...
