I'm so tempted to wrap my C250 in something similar to this:

It offers paint protection, looks cool, etc... so tempted!

That's good. I'm leaning towards satin black too since that's what I had on my Evo X roof.

I would do a Graphite/grey color just to be a little different.

If the nice shiney paint is worth going through this much to protect, why shouldn't it be seen? Otherwise, MB could just paint the cars in primer at the factory and leave them looking as if they've been wrapped in matte.

I think if you plan on doing the whole murdered out them go for it. I personally like that look on any car.

My friends said it's lame I'm doing it to a stock C250 (because it's stock and not a C63). It's still an $85k car here (about $90k USD) so it's not cheap but I don't like it looking too similar to every other C Class on the street.

Has anyone on the forum done satin black on a w204? I'm trying to find a good photo to compare with the matte black in my OP.

how durable is this stuff to the elements? ive heard that if you get like...bird droppings or rain or anything like that on it, you have to do some major work to get it off before it damages the wrap? Id love to wrap mine like this but im in MN, so weathers a bit of a concern here

I agree with your freinds, if the car is stock it's going to look weird all matte black

Saw a few white at SEMA... I can't say it looked great. The matte & satin silvers looked the best.

Flat black to me is AWEFUL but thats just IMO, plus Mercs have such nice paint on them.

Last memo I got flat black was cool back when the bug eyed impreza was out and is more a Japanese car thing not a German car, thats more Matte or eggshell paints, Not flat

Haha whilst white does look good I don't think I'll change colour that drastically. I'm still tossing up between satin and matte. Satin looks a bit better.

Of course, I don't think any of these are wraps.

Don't think silver looks too "grey" (i.e. old)?

Keep in mind I just turned 24 lol.

Punk... Yeah, I'm an old 42. I like flashy motorcycles (I ride too) but I prefer clean & subtle when it comes to MBZs. I saw a number of silver mattes at the SEMA show that just looked awesome in person. At the end of the day, people have to do what makes THEM happy. It's not my car, so I don't have to live with what anyone chooses.

I recently had my CLS 55 wrapped in matte white and in my opinion it looks amazing, however the wrap has started to come off. Not that much has come off, but i still was surprised that it already started to peal off.
I will get a better pic in a few days.

I'm from Australia so it's difficult to gauge but it takes 4-5 days labour between 1-2 people so you can guesstimate off that based on wages in your country. I think the going rate here is $4k AUD or so for a full wrap which is part by part (i.e. they pull the car apart to do it).

Satin white does sound nice but then I don't want my car looking like it's a wedding car. I prefer the dark/menacing look a bit more. And my last car was white.
