Quote: their package does not follow the original rear wheel spec for sport. more cost effective to customers therefore increasing sales.

Yes, I know that and don't have a problem with it. At least I am following with what the dealer is doing to other customers.

7.5 inch in the back is not ideal. its too narrow. i fishtail alot during winter. i should have gotten the 8.5 instead.

Just about every place like tire rack sells winter set-ups with the same tire and wheel for all 4 corners, for "staggered" wheeled cars. No profit incentive there, nor at the dealers, just best winter performance.

it helps people cheap out increasing sales. its harder to sell a proper set staggared wheels due to higher cost when the smaller wheels can be sold in place of the staggared set.

A consumer that doesnt know jack about cars, most would not care as long as then have the "winter tires". The lower sale price would help.

No, the LUX version is not staggered, and you should add your mercedes to your drives list, or in signature.

What you think of this does not matter here, it's a convenience for others, and almost all do it.

We are not going down your "wide is better" winter road again, where you wasted others time with WRC videos that had nothing to do with your point, and actually were contrary to it.

I used stock 17" off set rims with Dunlop Winter sport 225/45r17 on all 4 rims. But if you do buy rims IMO buy same size for all 4. 16" ideally. And any directional winter tire will do well. Safe Driving

Canadian C300 might have trouble with some wheels due to the larger front brakes. It uses the same front brakes as the C350. There are confirmed reports of 16" working, but it might be a YMMV for clearance.

Canadian C300 uses a 17" for a spare while americans use a 16" for spare. The canadian C250 V6 uses the same brakes as usa C300

cost buddy, its why we have to pay a ton more than american for a car. C300 in canada comes with sport standard (after 2008), HID package and bigger brakes from the c350 (usa cannot get this option)

i still dont see any justification in canadian pricing. maintenance cost here compared to USA is almost double.....

at least now you would know what parts to upgrade your brakes with since most sites base off the USA spec car. Front brakes are C350 and rear are C300 (solid)

Thanks, for the info. Looks like we got lucky for a change with our Canadian Models. I own a 02 xtreme Blazer never sold in Canada. Most americans don't know how many models or trim packages we're not offered in Canada. Thank You MB
