We have MB Tex & a Labrador.

The two do not go together in my opinion unless you have protection on the back seats

otherwise the MB tex will tear at some stage.

Here is what we use. Good for surfing dogs as it is waterproof.

That one continues to perform well and stands up strongly to the paws on these guys! Don't be fooled by the innocent look on the left snout of these sisters!!

I have a 130lb Boxer and a 45lb Pug. I didn't have a cover at first and had no problems with the MBtex. I bought a cover similar to SportSticks at a TJMaxx/Marshalls for $18. Best money I've spent. It definitely reduced the hair in my car after taking them to the dog park.

Great picture!

I don't think this guy will ever be in the back of my C, but he has been in the back of my dads old S and even the new one for long 4 hour trips upstate! Of course the backseat is covered by a heavy duty waterproof tarp

MB Tex is much more durable than leather, but your dog's paws will still wear it down.
I don't have a big dog, so I just cover the seats and armrest with towels:

black interior + white shedding dog, not a good combination.
